Terms of use
These terms apply when you use accountantinsussex.com or send us an enquiry. Please read them before you use the site. They were last updated on 6 November 2026.
About us
Accountant in Sussex is a free information and enquiry service, not an accountancy firm. You can contact us at info@accountantinsussex.com or on 01273 115520, and our postal address is in our privacy policy.
General information, not advice
Our guides, cost pages and tools explain UK tax and accounting rules in general terms. They are not tax, legal, financial or accounting advice, and they do not take account of your circumstances. Tax rules change, and how they apply depends on the details of your situation, so please check with a suitably experienced accountant or adviser before acting on anything you read here.
We take care to keep the site accurate and to show where our information comes from, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or up to date at the moment you read it.
Prices and calculators
Prices on this site are figures published by named providers and surveys across the UK. They are a guide only and are not quotes. Local accountants set their own fees. The results from our calculators and estimators are rough illustrations based on the figures and rules shown on each tool, and should not be relied on to work out the tax you owe or the fee you will pay.
Enquiries and introductions
When you send an enquiry, we will read it and, where we can and with your agreement, pass it to a local accountant who may be able to help. We cannot promise that an accountant will be available or will take on your work.
Any accountant you are put in touch with is independent of us. Any agreement you make for accounting or tax work is between you and that accountant, on their terms, and they are responsible for the work and advice they provide. Before you agree to anything, we suggest you ask for the scope of the work and the fee in writing and check that the accountant is supervised for anti-money laundering purposes, as explained in our guide to questions to ask an accountant.
Using the site
You may use the site for your own information. Please do not misuse it, for example by sending false or abusive enquiries, trying to break into or overload the site, or copying large parts of it to publish elsewhere. The text, design and tools on the site belong to us unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the page.
Links to other websites
We link to GOV.UK, HMRC, Companies House and other websites so you can check our sources. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.
Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, because the site and our enquiry service are free and provide general information only, we are not responsible for any loss arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content, or for the work, advice or fees of any accountant you choose to work with.
Your personal data
Our privacy policy explains how we use your personal data, and our cookie policy explains the cookies we use.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
