Common questions

Are these Sussex prices?

No. The figures are published UK ranges from the sources listed on this page. Local firms set their own fees, so treat the result as a starting point for your own questions rather than a quote.

Do the figures include VAT?

It depends on the source. Sleek and The Accountancy Partnership give their figures excluding VAT, while Zmartly and GoForma do not say. If an accountant is VAT registered, VAT at 20% may be added to their fee, so ask whether a price includes it.

Why is the limited company range so wide?

The two sources describe different levels of service. One gives a range for basic year-end work and the other for accounts plus the company tax return across a wider market, so the estimate shows both ends.

What else could change the price?

The state of your records, how many transactions you have, extra income types, deadlines that are close, and whether you need advice as well as filing. Ask for the scope of work and the fee in writing before you agree.
